Nothing bad to say about Quantas, but jeez, could they cram any more seats into these Airbuses? ;( Fortunately, on this return flight, the seat next to me was vacant. Luxury!

Get stuck next to a fatty (er, like me ) and it makes for an uncomfortable flight. I still prefer Boeings of any description!

R.I.P. JG Ballard, dystopian visionary and author.

I’ve just returned from holiday to discover the news that my  favourite author – possibly one of the 20th Century’s greatest authors, whose works I have digested since I was a teenager – has died from his long standing prostate cancer.
