Best song title I’ve heard this week.
A new album that I doubt many of you are familiar with, called “Black Sheep” by Julian Cope – ex “The Teardrop Explodes” for oldies and late 70’s throwbacks.
It has to be said that Cope’s work has become, well, let’s be frank and call it weird shit since his Jehovahkill album of 2000. And he has written two huge tomes of work on Megalithic structures in the UK, and in Europe. Well recommended reading if you can lift the damn books off the table! I have a copy of the first hardback edition, and I’m still not sure if he didn’t intend it to be a monolith itself
He is totally out there, as his Head Heritage site proves, but the song title, and I love it:

Photo fun – Nostalgia with Poladroid.
For those of us old enough to remember the venerable Polaroid system of instant photos, that had the magical effect of developing in one’s hand – causing much delight to children everywhere – I stumbled across this rather neat bit of software that promises to turn your lovingly crafted high resolution pics into recreations of 70’s ‘tat’. Slightly unfair, actually, because the Polaroid system was always fun to use – if excessively expensive to buy the refills for – and was still used, until Polaroid very recently stopped producing them, in specialized backplates for preview pictures by studio photographers.
Documentation is in French only so far, but it’s all pretty intuitive and fun to use! You can take “snapshots” of your picture at any stage as it *develops* on your screen, and it delivers a pretty good facsimile of an original Polaroid snap, complete with textured borders!

The Crumpler has twins!
My do-everything laptop and camera bag is completely padded throughout, not just the laptop sleeve; but in order to prevent my lenses bumping around together I found a couple of really nice, plush lined, drawstring top, high quality nylon bags. Cost way less then branded camera lens pouches, and just happen to match the big bag.
Ideal!
